All Group 4 candidates are usually very confused and nervous after writing the exam. The reason is that we do not know how many of the answers we have written are correct and how many are wrong. The answer key is published to reduce this mental confusion and anxiety and calm down the candidates. Once the answer key is published, the candidates look at it nervously at first, but after knowing how many correct, how many wrong answers they have written, and how many marks they have got in total, there is a chance for them to calm down in a short time. Otherwise, there are chances of making some wrong decisions.
Also, the answer notes will be released within a few days of the exams so all the candidates will know their percentage of marks. Candidates who score more than 80% marks can crack the next exam if they put in some more effort and practice.
Candidates with less than 80% have a chance to succeed if they put in hard work and effort. But candidates who scored less than 50% marks and are ambitious to go for government jobs, if they practice for the exam full time can succeed. Otherwise, it is better to prepare yourself for another job. Congratulations to all the candidates who cleared this exam. Prepare yourself for your next step, Certificate Verification and Interview. If possible let us know how you passed the exam and help the practicing students.
The TNPSC Exam Department will release the exam results within a few days after releasing the answer key. Candidates can check their exam results through their mobile phones or by visiting the nearest computer center. It is advisable to take a printout of the exam results at your convenience. Results can be downloaded in PDF format only. The exam results are in tabular format with first the roll number, next the exam number, then the names of the candidates, and finally the marks obtained by the candidates. Exam results will be arranged in ascending order of exam numbers. But only the exam numbers of those who passed will be there. So you have to check carefully one by one if your exam number is there in that row. If you have passed your exam number will be in that order. Then you prepare yourself for the next step.
After TNPSC candidates get their exam results, what is their cut-off mark and doubt about whether they will get a job for that cut-off mark is one thing that everyone who appeared for the exam has. Now let's see how to calculate the cut-off mark. For example, if you scored 290 marks in the TNPSC exam, you need to divide the marks you scored by the total marks of 300 in the exam. Then multiply the answer by 100 to get your cut-off marks. That means dividing 290 by 300 is 0.9666 and then multiplying 0.96 by 100 is 96.66. So your cut-off score is 96.66.
High cut-off marks in the TNPSC exam are not enough, it is just an educational qualification, and there will be many candidates who have the same marks as you. So to filter them TNPSC exam department conducts multiple selection processes. First, the marks are looked at, and if some have scored the same marks, then they look at their school and college qualifications, if some have scored the same marks, they are divided into seniors and juniors based on age, and seniors are given priority. Finally, shortlisted candidates will be sent a letter home by postal department. It will contain full details of where and when certificate verification will be done.
Only qualified candidates in terms of educational qualification, physical area, and age qualification will be called for certificate verification. When it comes to certificate verification you need to bring all the original certificates of educational qualification mentioned in the application form. Don't say anything is forgotten or lost. If your certificate verification is completed without any hiccups, it means that you are confirmed for the government job.
A work order will be issued to you within a few days after you complete the certificate verification. You have to go to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission head office in Chennai to get the Appointment Order. There you will be given a printed elephant. Along with it all the details like where you have been offered the job, under which category you have been offered the job, when you have to join the job and how much is your salary. After you get the badge, on the specified date, you can go to the specific office show your Appointment Order to the higher authority, and join the service. From the next day, you can go back to work as usual.
We hope you have a detailed and clear understanding of everything from the TNPSC Group 4 Exam Notification to Joining, Applying, Downloading the Admit Card, Writing the Exam, Viewing Results, and Certificate Verification.
