Gravity

Redshift and Blueshift
These phenomena are observed in the light from celestial objects due to the Doppler effect. Redshift occurs when an object is moving away from the observer, causing its light to shift towards longer, redder wavelengths. Blueshift occurs when an object is moving towards the observer, shifting its light towards shorter, bluer wavelengths. The observation of redshift in the light from distant galaxies is a key piece of evidence for the expansion of the universe.
Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang theory is the prevailing cosmological model for the universe's earliest known periods. It states that the universe began as an extremely hot, dense point that expanded and cooled over billions of years to form the structures we observe today.
